As someone who has published two articles in the International Review of Law and Economics, I am saddened and dismayed that the Review’s review and editorial process is so unreliable that it would publish this article, “Contracting for Sex in the Pacific War,” by Professor Ramseyer. I now regret my prior decisions to publish in this journal.

二つの論文を『法と経済の国際評論』誌に発表してきた者として、ラムザイヤー教授によるこの「太平洋戦争期のセックス契約」なる論文を出版するほど、同誌の評論と編集作業が信用の置けないものであったことに、私は悲しませられ、打ちひしがれている。今はこの雑誌に論文を発表することにしたかつての自分の選択を後悔している。
